Bought to you by Meena Trust and Mighty Punch Studios, the Tepatuli series introduces contemporary animated versions of existing popular Bangla nursery rhymes, songs and poems to a whole new generation of kids. The art style is inspired by Bengali folk art and our traditional tepa putul; and the music is composed and sung by talented local artists.

We are developing an animated series, aimed at preschool children, that takes place in the Sundarbans and features the adventures of a Royal Bengal Tiger cub and his friends. The stories would teach good values and also teach children about how to care for the environment.
Heroes and villains from Bangladeshi folklore and fairy tales are reinvented in a high-fantasy comedy adventure series, with a unique art style, that will appeal to a global audience. The medium is 2D animation (cut-out and hand-drawn) and the proposed TV series would consist of 6 eleven-minute episodes. It consists of strong, interesting male and female characters that will prove to be popular among girls and boys in the 6-12 year-old demographic.
The first female superhero in Bangladesh. Our Ms Shabash comic was a massive hit and now we are developing an animated pilot based on the first comic issue, in which she took down Whitewash, the CEO of a skin-lightening cream company, who mutated into a mad marketing monster after falling into her own product.
Bangladesh’s first superhero also has a pilot episode in development. It’s based on the first issue in which he faced off against King Blatt, a gigantic prehistoric cockroach.
In late 2015, we introduced Captain Kathal -- a Bangladeshi superhero character – in the pages of Shabash issue 7 and issue 8. Fans loved the character because of his no-nonsense attitude, his patriotism, and his obsessive love for kathal (jackfruit). They wanted us to give him his own comic book series, and while we were working on that, we also surprised the comic book fans and a whole new audience by releasing a Captain Kathal animated short called Baaper Rasta: The Wrong Road in January 2019 and followed up with another two more shorts later. The concept, the dialogue, and the humor made it popular with all ages but especially with 20-30-year-old males.
Captain Kathal in Baaper Rasta: The Wrong Road
Three bank robbers who make their escape by driving on the wrong side of the road have to deal with an extremely incensed Captain Kathal.
Captain Kathal in Dhonnobad: The Thanks
This short was a thank you to our fans; a taste of what stories we have cooked up for the future; and an invitation to interested parties to sponsor the series.
